By now you’re used to hearing about some oddities that Sierra Courier has transported over the years; but this one is more unique.
You see, one particular delivery we made was a little bit, shall we say, more visible than others.
A couple years back, we had to have one of our deliveries ride shotgun. Now this wasn’t a small parcel by any stretch of the imagination. It was actually a few feet tall. Heck, you can even say it was life size (though not life like).
You see, this particular delivery was a skeleton.
No, we’re not ribbing you – this was a living, breathing…Okay it wasn’t living or breathing, nor was it an actual collection of dry bones; but to anyone who dared pull up beside our delivery van, well, let’s say they got quite the surprise look at a red light from our plastic imitation friend.
Now the driver hasn’t shared all the details with us, but we can only assume a couple things from this unique road trip:
- There were a few salivating dogs that chased the car from pick-up to drop-off.
- “Bad to the Bone” was the song of choice on this deadman’s voyage.
- The stop at the Tim Hortons drive-through was unforgettable.
So the question you’re probably asking yourself now (okay there are probably a few but stay with us) “why did the skeleton ride up front with the driver?”
Well, laying our skeletal friend down for transportation wasn’t an option. The last thing we’d want is a broken leg or arm for our client.
As a result, the skeleton sat up front and had the ride of its life, strapped in next to our careful courier.
This, of course, is our #2 entry on our top six list of strangest deliveries. Stay tuned, because next time, we’ll reveal #1, and let’s just say this one will be a tasty treat you won’t soon forget.
